This Tuesday day 22, we will discuss the documentary "Stranded" and interview the director, Javier Gomez Serrano. In the film, Javier, brings us the reality of the yards in Chittagong, on the coast of Bangladesh, one of the most densely populated and poorest in the world.
The documentary tells the story of Johor and Salam who work in shipyards dismantled piece by piece, with another 25,000 men, huge steel vessels from the west, laden with unburned fuel, toxic gases and heavy pieces and sharp edges.
In short, "Stranded" is the battlefield where men bare hands dismantle these gigantic ships.
